This week in science we have been exploring the fossilisation process by making our own! Badgers worked in groups to put their maths skills to good use when measuring ingredients for the plaster of Paris we used to cast the fossils. The finished pieces look great!
We've also spent time this week learning about how earthquakes are measured and the impact they have on people's lives; we were shocked by what we saw when we watched some live footage in class!
In Maths we've been looking at decimals and working with tenths and hundredths, whilst using our daily 10 time to practise bonds to 100 and 1000 ... in 5 and 7 seconds!
For our learning in English we have been plotting the journey Lila has made to reach the Grotto of Razvani in preparation for our news reports! The children have been layering the story to recognise where different character's experiences overlap to provide a greater sense of chronology.
Also, there has been a lot of Golden Choices being made with many children completing additional home learning to support their class based studies, PLUS some fantastic baking with Mrs Garrod, well done everyone!
